About me as a photographer

My name is Corné Uittenbogaard and at the moment I'm living in Stockholm.
Since 1997 I've been active in the planespotting world. It was during the annual airshow/openday of the Royal Netherlands Airforce at Gilze-Rijen AB that my interest was encouraged.

During the years I've been focusing more and more on the photoside of planespotting. Nowadays, I only write down numbers for a report sometimes.
I started with a small analog compact camera and soon switched over to an Olympus OM-2 SLR camera. In 2004 I switched to the digital world of photography.
I now own the magnificent Konica-Minolta Dynax 7D.

Photography has become a major hobby of mine. Besides aviation photography I make photos of all kind of subjects from flora to architecture.

I do want my photos to be more than just a standard shot of a subject.
I'm trying to make my shots unique and with a suprising perspective. But that's very difficult and often I still cann't really resist not taking a normal picture...
Nevertheless, I rather depict a photo with "attitude", reflecting atmosphere and feeling than a boring picture which reflects true colours and how it really was.
Therefore, my photos are often charactarised by high contrasts, high saturation and bold colours. "Pictures that jump off your screen".
